I loved the original and this is just as good - aw Dean!! Sammy's abandonment at the end is heart wrenching...

Well, Sammy had his life to get back to and Dean was on the mend and John was on the way.

I thought the original was a great outsider point of view on Dean and I wanted to take it in a different direction. Glad you liked it and thanks!

Thank you! Poor concussed Dean is a favorite of mine. And Sam had to go. He had school and Jess (he was totally spending Christmas with her in one of the other 4 fics I had started for this), and with John on the way..... Sam's got his life, and it's not Dean's. I couldn't figure out a way to have Sam stay, so...sad.
