It doesn’t come easy. They work- his people have always worked hard to earn what they get. Winchesters provide for their families with sweat and aching muscles and dirt under their fingernails.
When Pastor Jim’s parishioners donate clothes for the boys it sets John’s teeth on edge. Charity is what it is and Winchesters don’t take charity. Never have, never will. But the boys are growing at an alarming rate and limited doesn’t begin to describe John’s funds.
He swallows hard and pushes the shame down deep. He’ll be doing a lot of things no Winchester has ever done before.
