I see some serious in media res tendencies here. Partly because you like to write drabbles, I imagine - can't waste a whole sentence on easing people into the action!

17 of those twenty five are drabble first sentences. Does in media res mean quick to start? Never took Latin!

in media res means starting in the 'middle' of the story, in an intense or action-filled moment.

Okay. Yes I do seem to do that a lot! And you're right. Can't waste a lot of words setting up a drabble. Though my longer fics don't seem to be immune from it either.

I'd have to agree - there's a lot here that implies action, or at least movement.

You've already read a lot of them, thank you so much! If you're serious I'd be happy to point out the ones I don't think you've seen. Most of them are gen, but a few are wincest and I don't know if you're into that, so let me know and I'll omit them!

I don't know about tracking, but it's not like my stories have pages of comments and readers who have commented on a lot of them stick in my mind. The first one is not finished yet. I've got a summer word count challenge starting next week and I'm trying to put off writing anything long until then ( ... )

I love this! I can't spot a pattern either, but I do like using this to reminisce over good fics that you've written!
