today is just a really sad day. one of my best friends (ben craig) sister was found dead yesturday. It's so sad b/c every day i see her smiling after i get out of health and talk to her friends, thursday was probably the only time i ever talked to her in my life, it's just a lot to take in at once b/c now i realize one minuet some one could be there and you dont even really know them then the next you wish you would have known them. if laura was anything like ben im sure she was kind, funny and one of the ppl who would be friends with anyone.
Here's the story from the news. Plz pray for the Craig's.
Another car accident has claimed the life of teen in the heart of Illinois.

Peoria Richwoods High School Senior Laura Craig is the sixth high school student to die in the area in less than a month.

Parents, brothers, and friends can only ask why as they look at a makeshift memorial.

Joel Chasco, Laura's stepbrother said, "I just can't explain it. It's too much for words to say."

17-year-old Laura Craig was found dead Friday afternoon.

She was in her car at the bottom of a 200 ft. Ravine at Detweiller Park in Peoria.

Police and friends are still trying to figure out how she got there.

Meaghan Mitchell, Laura's friend, said, "It's very hard. You don't know what she was thinking or what was going through her mind."

Laura had a love for sports like soccer, cross country, and track.

Joel said, "She's a good runner like once in a while I would try to go run with her and I would just be basically dead by the first mile."

Ben Craig, Laura's brother, said, "She was really athletic...She ran Cross Country. Last year she ran a 19 minute three miles. So, it's crazy."

But, it's her smile and her everyday caring that will be missed the most.

Joel said, "She loved to help people. She was just a great personality a great person."

Meaghan said "She was just so fun to be around. She always lifted your spirits up. She was always there to give a shoulder for someone to cry on and was always there to listen to your problems."

Laura's family is struggling to make sense of what has happened, but they said Laura's friends have helped them cope.

Joel said, "So, many people showed-up to the house last night. So many of her friends. I mean it really did help out a lot."

Craig's family reported her missing Friday morning to police.

Then, a hiker spotted her wrecked car and called authorities in the afternoon.

Investigators are still trying to figure out if speeding or another car forced her to leave the roadway.

An autopsy showed that Craig died from injuries suffered in the crash.
