2008....that is outta control
So once again I havent posted in forever so I guess I will...
Christmas and New Years went well....VERY busy overall I was a little christmas'd out this year in total i had 6 christmases:
Indiana for Grandpa Neil & Viola (w/ hendrix side of family)
Indiana for Grandma Edna & John (w/ hendrix side of family)
Glenn Family Christmas (w/ immediate family)
All Glenn Family Christmas (w/ the glenn side of the family)
Skyllingstad Family Christmas (w/ my family and donnie of course)
Cleveland for Grandma Rosie and Grandpa Hank (w/ herrilko side of family)
It was a little much and i slightly feel like i didnt have a christmas break because things were so outta control but thats okay i suppose next year we may have to pick and chose and possibly not do ALL of those christmases but we will decide that when it comes...
I decided to hire a wedding coordinator to help w/ wedding planning b/c I am too busy and dont want the added stress and it has been VERY helpful... So far I have my reception site (glendale lyceum), church (madison ave christian church in covington), pastor (pastor brad from our church), guest list (we are at like 259 roughly which is a little higher than we would like but we need to look over it again), I bought my wedding gown (its amazing and i got a killer price on it but it fits like a glove now so i need to either maintain or lose weight...no gaining), i think i picked out my bridesmaid dresses and i have appointments w/ photographers and florists this thursday and dawn (my wedding coordinator) is looking into dj's, caterers, and bakers for me to set up appointments...im getting stuff done pretty fast so im excited about that
dave and meg got engaged....so did dani and dan....dani and dan are getting married summer 09 but dave and meg decided on may 10, 2008...so in a few months! Its insane to think that they will be married so soon but im also really excited for them! its awesome to have two engaged bridesmaids because we can all go through the planning stuff together...
im kinda concerned about the guest list...we narrowed it down the best we could but there are still a few people who donnie and i cant decide if we should invite...ive been struggling over whether or not to invite jess...we were best friends for so long and i met donnie through her but at the same time...we arent friends...like at all...anymore and i havent seen her in months, we dont hang out at all, we dont have any of the same interests or friends anymore....it just seems awkward plus we arent having any of our friends bring dates so i am worried she wouldnt even have fun b/c she wouldnt have anyone to hang out w/ anyway....its something i need to consider....as of now she is included there are a few other friends donnie and i have that we included but may cut to meet our number we wanted to try and only invite 250 but we cannot invite more than 270 at the VERY most....so i dunno b/c my mom said she finished the skyllingstad guest list and said it was 75 so donnie and i added that to the finalized glenn guest list and friend guest list and we got to 259 but it still depends on if my mom was just giving us a rough number or an exact number and if she included my actual immediate family in the list (mom, dad, devon, jeff, andrew, william, brett and brooke)...so i dunno...
im still debating the color scheme....i was going to do orange and brown and pink and i picked chocolate brown bridesmaid dresses b/c its neutral enough that they will def. be able to at least wear that $130 dress again...but i have been thinking about doing some different color combos too but i need to def. decide by thurs. b/c im meeting we/ the photographer so i should know by then...
lets see what else is new...hmm school is starting in a week and i could stil use another 3 weeks of break but oh well i guess i will just have to pray about being stress free :-) im in a womens bible study w/ donnies sister that will be starting back up again which is fabulous and we are going to probably join a church small group that meets on wed. so that will be fun...overall i will have a busy week. I have class all week plus work, plus small group on wed, bible study on sat. church on sun @ 9 then church nursery (donnie and i signed up to work every sunday through the end of april) which starts at 10:45....its alot but i love it and i feel my relationship w/ the Lord being strengthened which is really exciting to me...
i think thats about it...i cant wait to be done w/ this school year...i do my pre-placement stuff this semester so ill be deciding where i will be working for the next year which is exciting....but more than that i cant wait to be done and get married and start my new family w/ donnie!! Donnies sisters have a bet going on when donnie and i will have kids and 3 of the 4 think we will have a honeymoon baby- no chance that will happen haha not for a few years...at least thats what im planning now...:-) ahh craziness
