God damn, holidays are great for doing nothing. As the name of this entry suggests, I've been forced to resort to daytime soaps. My sinkhole of cash and time aka my computer decided to die last week and as a result I've been forced to share. As a result of this a lot of my holiday time has been sans computer and add TV. I'd like to think holiday boredom hasn't turned me into an alcoholic but I think it's just denial getting drunk by yourself at 10am is usually a good sign.
Had an interesting weekend, tried to get a friend drunk whose never been drunk before in the presence of strippers but unfortunately it failed. The strippers definitely were an interesting bunch, especially when you're a dead look alike for a pimp they know. Also finding out one has two kids your age but doesn't look a day over 25 is very creepy. The night went without trouble till the very end, when some random copped a pot glass to the head and as a result needed a blood transfusion. Took the cleaners two hours to clean.
Haven't seen any of the gang in ages and I blame this on a lack of mobility. As soon as I stop procrastinating and actually get my liscence I assume I will see them evenutally. Maybe the state of origin would be a good excuse to get pissed with friends but then I realise only one of my friends who doesn't even read this actually gives a damn. Then again Sin City is almost out in cinemas so theres an excuse to catch up with people. Looks to be a damn good movie too.
In other news, I've started drawing up concept sketches for a webcomic I have in mind, I'd have put them up but I'm not at all happy with them. Eventually when I like my art I may get round to setting up shop on keenspace, home of those who lack the will to take their comic seriously.
Summing up this entry is the fact that I already know why I'm not getting a christmas present this year. Failing to have gone on a cruise themselves during the September holidays my parents have decided to pay a majority of the fare for an 11 night cruise in january. Will be an interesting experience going to New Caledonia and Vanatu as it is my first time over seas. Maybe I can pick up some cheap electrical shit. (How Adam knows he's not a communist, 1) I own too much shit 2) If I ever saw Chairman Mao or Che I'd punch them in the mouth.) Also due to the oppertunity of being in international seas I must find a way to host a normally illegal monkey knife fight.
As it's now almost 1am I'd bugger off due to work tomorrow but that's not my style. I prefer to do stupid shit like get drunk at an 18th and get home at 2am before an end of semester exam at 8am at St Lucia. Btw UQ kids, exam results are out tomorrow, time to see if you barely passed or failed miserably.
