Ok, so I'm a little fed up with computers right now. Well, not computers in genenral, just how fragile they can be. Tonight I had to run an anti adware program before I could run my anti virus. Before the adware check, the anti-virus was rebooting my computer.....yes, the blue screen of death...... So, once I ran the ad-aware program to get rid of the adware, I was able to run the anti-viruses (both of them, yes I run 2). And the report from both anti-viruses was...... *drum roll*...... your computer is clean..... (WHAT??!!?!?!??) and then when I opened another program, the computer rebooted itself. (CLEAN??!?!!??!??)
It was not a virus... it was a trojan (not the warrior or the kind that you have to by the extra large kind or you feel inadiquate) this program hides a virus. (ok, most say it "is" a virus) But a trojan hides other programs inside itself until something sets the trojan off (july 4th, running a cirtain program, etc.) It doesn't look like a virus, so it is easier to break into your computer.
So, after the computer rebooted, it showed a message saying that there was a serious problem with the computer...... (NO .... DDDDAAAAA!!!!)
Ok, so after working with the microsoft site, they said that this particular problem is a driver problem. Oh, and they don't have a fix for it yet...... (THANKS ALOT)
So, I attacked the problem myself, with the last ditch effort solution...... I pretended that I was a 4 year old and "messed" with settings and programs and stuff until now it seems to be working better.... 3 hours and nothing has made it reboot again.... (thnk you 4 yr. old mentality)
Now I have the adware, spyware and anti-viruses working on overtime and I upped the security on the browser. Now the system is moving and reacting a little slower.
We have security programs checking security programs and spyware checking the anti-viruses and updates and patches............ . .... .... ...... ....
With all the malicious stuff being put out in the internet, soon we'll just be using a computer until it fills up with junk and then buying a new computer to monitor that computer .... and to do work/play on.... until it is full also......
Proof? - my first "windows" computer had me update the anti-virus once a month, a few years later, they said we should update once a week. Now..... both my anti-viruses and all 3 of my adware/spyware programs default to update EVERY DAY......... ....... ..... ...
