I write this while struggling with an uncooperative action scene, so right now I'm afraid I have to confesss I'm wildly jealous of how effortless and vivid and clear your prose reads. I'm always a sucker for Alfons fix-it, because the determination and wryness and general attitude he's developed living with his illness makes me want to see more of him, and makes me go, "dammit, you got ripped." Anyway, bullet points:

- it is totally hilarious how Maes has taken to time travel like he's been doing it all his life, and it's super-sad that the price of this is being cut off from his family. ;_;
- Also: “I was dying,” Hughes says, and this is the strangest grin yet. “Only I made the mistake of doing it in a telephone booth.” Ha!
- tangent: when you were in the UK, were you ever tempted to stage the phonebooth scene for photo LOLs? When enemytosleep visited me, we so nearly did it. (Instead we have photos of her missing the Hogwarts Express.)
- Also, this line: I love you, Alfons thinks at the strong shoulders and the curve of the back and the swinging ponytail.
- Also also, for reasons I'm not quite sure of, I really like the rhythm of this sentence: Just as he thinks his lungs will burst open-which, admittedly, would solve several problems at once-they reach a labyrinth of halls and slow to a walk.

In conclusion, stop being so talented. Bah. :P <3

Gahhh, I'm hand-over-mouth-and-turning-reddish!flattered over here!! You have one of the most masterfully smooth writing styles of anyone I know!

THIS EXACTLY! I'm so deeply fascinated by his character, and that's sort of the central paradox to him for me -- I wish we just had more time to see him and learn about him and get to know him; and yet the very thing that's crystallized him into such a wonderful half-illuminated character is his knowing that his time is so short. I can't seem to get him out of my head, haha. XD

...okay, so I'm trying to develop a theory of some kind as to how you always take away exactly what I was trying to put in, but I can't think of any way to say "Maybe we once traded some small fragment of brain matter" without sounding very very very creepy. ._____.

NO OMG WHY DID WE NOT DO THISSSSS. ...actually, I just realized why; we finished watching FMA right at the end of November, and then eltea went home to the States December 14th, and we were in fairly phonebooth-less Cardiff for the entire interim. XD icequeenrex and I did squee over a little path called "Fletcher's Walk" in Birmingham because we'd just watched the Other Brothers eps the weekend before, ahaha. XD And I have pictures of myself fangirling Police Boxes in Scotland on two separate trips -- WHY did I not put these things together?! XD

Clearly the Fiancé needs to get invited to a conference in London so that I have an excuse to go back. ;D And I could tell enemytosleep was a BAMF, but now I am even more assured of this fact!! \o/
