It's just like any other day in the Breeding Centre: Merlin wakes with the dawn, putters about in the kitchen with tea to wake himself up, then starts checking up on the pokemon. Just like usual--or so he thinks.

As he's passing through the front hall, there's a woosh of something in the air that makes the picture frames he'd so carefully put up

( ( Honestly, he has no idea what just happened but that doesn't stop him from fumbling around and trying to catch the frames. He finds that it isn't really necessary though and he looks back up at Merlin. At first, he looks completely and utterly confused but he manages an awkward smile as he grabs one of the pictures, ) )

That---erm. [Wait, where did this boy come from? And who is he?] Yeah, that'd be great, actually.

[He's just plucked a frame out of the air when he finally looks over.] You're new, right? I don't think I've seen you 'round the Centre before.

( ( Then he's going to begin picking frames like he's picking apples or something now, YEAH. This is totally normal. . . actually, it really kind of is. ) )

[Wrinkling his nose.] It's just "Merlin"--not "sir" or anything like that.

Could be nothing. Johto's odd enough...but I just feel like this has happened before...

Merlin? ( ( But he doesn't have a beard or anything. Must be another Merlin. Right? ) ) Oh, I'm Wart.

Perhaps it has happened before but you don't remember? People forget things all of the time.

Welcome to Johto, I guess. [Merlin glances down the hall, then sends the collected pictures back to their spots with his magic. If it's back, then might as well use it, right?]

( ( He watches as the pictures go back to their places. There's a smile and a bright look in his eyes. Oh, how exciting! ) )

Coincidence...? I guess it is. None of us are really sure why we were brought here. [He sends a small smile Wart's way.] Do you have a place to stay? I don't think Souji would mind having another guest here. There's plenty of room.

...I can't. [He smiles sadly.] Whatever brought us here, whatever's keeping us here...it doesn't let go of us that easily. I don't think even having my magic back isn't going to help.
