So sick of being on call. And if I have to go in and make epidurals at 1 am (like the on-call last night), I’m busting skulls. Then again, I’d get paid for 6 hours of work….hmmmm. Just let them call relatively early then.
But anyway, other than that…had one of the best weekends in a very long time! Friday night's concert was awesome. Got the best seat (funny how people are always nervous to sit on the couch in front of the stage, but its the most comfortable spot there). They were doing some kind of video shoot, so maybe that's why no one sat there. I sat out of the camera's way, so I was gold.
The opening artist was someone I hadn't seen before, but was pleasantly surprised. Her name was Dayna Manning and I enjoyed her music muchly. She writes the type of music that I love to belt out when no one is home (since it is only justly sung by someone with talent, like the aformentioned artist). Acoustic/sorta folk and with lots of range and difficult notes. Thumbs up Dayna, keep it going!
Oddly enough, she mentioned myspace during her show and that just means I'll have to hunt her down and add her to my 'extensive' network of friends. Don't laugh. I only have 2 friends now, but remember that even McDonald's had a first customer.
Its all part of my plan to take over the world.
Nah. That'd be too much work. Instead, I decided that my life plan is to marry Hayden.
He's in love with me too now that I met him. Yes. I really honest-to-god met Hayden!!!!! It was just a perfect perfect moment. I couldn't believe that almost everybody left as soon as the lights came up. He was still on stage signing autographs for God’s sake! So of course, Elias and I took the opportunity (how many of those do you get?) and waited patiently until our turns came.
Looked up into his old green eyes, and I had to smile. All I could bring myself to say was ‘it was an honour to see your show.’ He kinda blushed and said thanks a lot. He is the most unmusician musician I have ever seen on stage. TRULY meek and unforcefully funny. And I loved how he didn’t take 10 minutes to explain the circumstances that created his songs.
Most of all, what I personally enjoy most about him is that because of his music, I am positive that there is someone out there for me. Of course, not him, but if there is one person I could fall for (given the right circumstances) then there’s gotta be another.
Or maybe that was just Satan dangling another carrot.
