Sold the unit for 60% more than I bought it for ten years ago. It will cover the mortgage I owe, and then some. Contracts to be exchanged tomorrow. That's one more thing off my plate, anyway!

No writing done tonight. And I had big plans!

At this point, I'm trying to focus on the wipbigbang. 8K to get past the post, and probably about 8K to finish this ( Read more... )

Congrats on the sale!

I'm always amazed at how prolifically you write. Good luck on finding the rhythm with your wipbigbang.

I'm hoping to write a little more this afternoon at my writing group. We'll see.

Yay!! Awesome investment win and bonus having things off the to-do list!

...oh man I am SO far behind on WIPbang. I've got to get myself in gear hardcore.

And your response to your rarewomen assignment sounds like mine for Shipswap lol.

Oh LORD. Shipswap.

I think I got assigned as a pinch-hitter to someone who requested 'any' in about three fandoms - most likely because I was unmatchable with anyone.

I know I'm a pinch-hitter, because I know someone else who also got assigned to her, too, for one of the pairings that she actually requested...

How's that? I'm too rarepair to match even for shipswap!

I actually talked to the mod before claiming a pinch hit and was told most of the first rounds were because they had an uneven number and manually matched up the oddest fandoms just to guarantee matches for them, and then had the more open/common options go to the pinch hit list.

Sounded odd to me, but there ya go.

I just am really glad optional details are optional with my actual match. Matched dead on with a pairing, but the letter was no where near what I would have associated with the pairing if that makes sense. I'm going to try my best to fill at least one of their optional wants, but it's not something I ever would have written before. Hopefullly I manage it.

See, writing for you last year was easy. THis person, while citing 'any' is unlikely to actually want what I'd end up writing her.

And the other person who also got assigned to her (we were exclaiming over our assignments and she went YOU HAVE THE SAME PERSON AS I DO, YES, I AM SURE OF IT and lo and behold, yep, we had the same person) is all ARGH I CAN'T EVEN regarding her story, and hoping that I'll write something that our recip wants...

Yeah, um, *coughs*
