The Sanctuary is Helen, and the Big Guy's been there since the Old City one was built. Henry's spent almost all his life there.
Will came in from the outside; invited and welcomed, but he still has remembers the outside, even if he's made the transition. Kate's made the transition to inside the Sanctuary, even though she still faces out and has strong ties to the outside. So Will's trying to cope with the cutoff from the outside, while Kate continues to maintain her connections outside (because her role in the Sanctuary depends on it).

Although, can he handle it in the long run? That's the question.
And Will? Poor Will. He's halfway in love with Kate and doesn't even see it (or want to admit it).
Ummm...will we see a continuation of this? Since you said that it was originally supposed to be longer?

And Will doesn't even know he's falling, poor guy.
I'm...not sure. The second half doesn't fit the first, but I'm thinking a piece from Kate's POV would make a nice contrast, perhaps.
