I love this! Vala has really grown on me this year, and you've captured her perfectly here. How is it that you can write anything anyone asks of you? :P

I like Vala in the way I like things that are spicy-hot: as a garnish. A little Vala (like a little Rodney) goes a long way IMO.

As for writing characters...it's a gift. Or possibly a curse. I really wish I could get a grip on my profic characters, though!

Hmmm, John/Vala. I'd never really thought about that paring before, but it works, and nicely. I like how you wrote this, how she kicks his ass twice and then seduces him. And meanwhile, John is all numb and cut off and then there's Vala, who's like Telya's exact opposite.
