1. Sixtysomething man on Managing Committee made comments to fiftysomething woman on MC that made her uncomfortable - asking about why her husband wasn't involved (frankly, a lot of female gardeners I've met are either single women or don't have involved husbands), and also questioning some of her decisions.
I'm going to have to have a word with him. Not looking forward to that. He'll bluster and say that he's right, but it's as much how he says it as what he says. Maybe I need a Biden "will you just shut up, man!" t-shirt...

2. Arranging the Christmas Party: four locations, one each for our four 'local areas' to keep numbers acceptable according to rules. I'm one of the four hosts, and when someone from outside our 'local area' asked where she should go, the communications officer copied both me and the local area group co-ordinator in, and said that she could probably come to our local area group.
The LAG co-ordinator for our local area promptly chimed in with, "I think she should get to choose, and we're the coolest after all."
This, mind you, is the LAG co-ord who isn't coming, and wouldn't put her house up for the party because she and her partner were renovating, and who hasn't been involved in just about anything all year!
Additionally, the point of the LAG is to connect people with others in their area and to evenly spread people out.
There are currently 10 people coming to my area party and only 4 assigned to the area party of the woman asking where she should go. Which, yes, I understand wanting to be among the "cool kids" but also it's a bit rough to just have everyone decide they want to go to one place because that's where all the people they know are going...
*sigh*
I am way too tired for this afternoon.
