This morning, the Nick Fury muse hits me sideways with the scene I'm presently writing between him, Maria, Wanda, Jane and a Wakandan Dora Milaje. I wrote 400 words in about 20 minutes.
Of course this happens a dozen hours before I'm somehow retconned for character in Captain Marvel which I am seeing at 5pm today at the local Big Cinema Complex (they had the best times, in spite of the small Indy Cinema being half the price; if I go a second or third time, it'll definitely be there).
Also: MY BETA REALLY LIKES THE STORY. AND ASKED THE QUESTIONS I WAS GOING TO ANSWER IN THE SECTION I'M WRITING. Hopefully this doesn't mean it's obvious what's going to happen at the end of this chapter. Or what has to happen to get to the final showdown.
I just want a few days of uninterrupted writing time, dammit! I think I'm free on Saturday, anyway. (My schedule says I'm free on Saturday.)
Also:
I am wearing it today because it's actually chilly enough to need a light jacket and it is PERFECT.
Polyurethane outside, polyester inside, so if I get too close to a fire, I will go up in flames rather like Carol only with more actual burning...
Bought with my first pay. (Which I still have to check that I've actually received in my account, dammit.)
