Tiegirl, it's really good I do not know where you live. Otherwise I would come and steal your puppy. As it is, I will just have to squee at these pictures. :-D
Oooooh, where did the icon come from? It's lovely, can I steal it?
Glad you're enjoying the show! I, meanwhile, am drooling over the season 6 trailer and trying to put off watching the Christmas special so it'll last longer.
Yes, I know how you feel. Right now, I'm re-watching some favorite season 1 episodes, because I don't want to finish season 2. You know how I am about spoilers, so I know how it ends. I don't want to see it, yet I do. *is torn* I love and hate these writers. They are evil! Also I've missed Nine. I love Ten. He's awesome, but Nine is adorable as well.
Ah, I think I've heard of that villain. The Master, correct? He's another Time Lord, right? That's all I know, so don't spoil me!
It's funny. Christopher Ecclecston actually left the show out of his own choice. He said he was unhappy with the environment and the conditions of the work. He doesn't go into anymore detail then that. I wonder what happened?
It seems that Billie Piper also left the show of her own choice. At first, I assumed they were just written out of the script, but this show seems to have a hard time hanging on to actors. Maybe, it's the fear of typecasting?
Mwa ha ha. Yes, the season 3 villain is indeed the Master. One of my favorite villains of all time, and my second favorite character on all of Doctor Who (first is the Doctor himself, of course).
I didn't know that; it's too bad, he was good. Probably some contract thing, or just a failure of relationship with someone else on the team. I would laugh if it was Billie Piper, though.
Well, Doctor Who has always been the sort of show that an actor just stays on for a few years. David Tennant is considered to have stayed on for a really long time, and that was just four years. It's why you run into every actor in Britain on that show; they need so many. It's a bit of a who's who, if you'll forgive the pun. You can't imagine how thrilled I was when Andrew Garfield showed up in season 3. :-D
Yup, I suppose three seasons is pretty long for DW. This show's premise lends itself to, in fact demands, a frequent change in cast. I'm going to miss Rose, though. I've heard she comes back briefly in season 4, but I already miss her! And I'm not even finished yet! I have a list of reunion fics lined up to read, for after I watch Doomsday. I'm gonna need them.

But maybe we shouldn't talk about on TG's
LJ?
Notice my icon? I'm almost done with season 2, and gosh! I cannot get enough of this show!

Right. And I agree about Nine--we hardly knew him by the time he had to go! So sad.

He was awesome! Not to mention, I can't imagine how difficult it was to revamp a role everyone already thinks they know.
I don't think it was Billie Piper or another actor, but more the people in charge. Here's the article I found.
