I knew I didn't want to do this again in 2011. It was great, but I guess I was just a little disappointed with the whole thing. Like the pressure to do something every day was more than the fruits of the pressure. Especially if I was out hiking and camping all day or something. And especially when compared to the guy whose work inspired me:

It takes longer than it looks like it does, especially with songs, which i have to convert from garageband/ableton file to .wav to .mp3 to imovie file to .m4v or whatever it's called and then upload it onto youtube. Lots of songs I didn't even bother with and are just sitting around on my harddrive. But yeah, I sound crotchety. I really did have fun doing it, and it was great motivation to do things on days which really did have great potential for creating things, but it didn't seem like it at first. Good sentence. But yeah I decided to take January off (and it took me pretty much the whole month to get all the updating caught up), and start my next year long project in February. I might take off February or part of it too, but maybe not. We'll see in a couple days. So yeah the project for February is something more like a bucket list. A bathtub list. But weirder. Basically a long list of things I want to do, or don't want to do but should do, many of which are meant to make me rethink my everyday life, or shift my point of view on things. Refocus the lens, by being startled, by being excited, by being scared, and by being pleased, whatever. I have a list going, but I need more things, which is one reason why I may not start this in February. Although I'm okay with adding more after I get started. This one isn't going to be restricted to every day. I am just going to have 365 things to do, and I have 365 days to do them. I might even have a list of more than 365 and just do 365 of them in 365 days. I don't know. But anyway I'm going to make a new journal for this, and write about whatever I did that day, and perhaps post pictures if needed.
I don't want to spoil the list, and neither do I want to bore you, so here's a small sampling of the list, which is probably at 250 or so right now:
-don't use electricity today
-convince 3 strangers to dance with me
-Listen to an album, try to render visually (with paint) what i hear
-set something free
-build a working title
-walk to class today (2 hr. 15 min walk)
-give away something i care too much about
-secretly film my surroundings all day and make a collage of the best footage
-meditate
-write down everything i'm thankful for, for an hour
-Make a sign to replace the flaming hot cheetos sign
-jump in the chicago river in my nicest clothes
