TM 391 - It's late at night. The phone rings. Who is it and what do they want?

Adam was peacefully asleep head burrowed under his pillow. That is until his phone rang and he kind of jumped not expecting the sound. Not at three in the morning at least. He got up and tiredly groped for the phone answering it in a deep groggy voice.

"Yeah?"

There was a pause before he heard Cassie's voice on the other end.

"Shit. I didn't mean to wake you Adam."

"Mm it's okay. Everything alright?"

"Yeah. I just- I just miss you."

Adam smiled as he sat up. "I miss you too Cassie. I'll be back soon I promise."

"Really?"

"I'll be heading out tomorrow or well rather today in a few hours."

"I should let you get some sleep."

"It's okay. I'm up."

"Sorry."

"It's okay glad everything is alright."

"Except these nightmares."

"What nightmares?"

"He comes back."

"He's gone Cass. I'll be there soon so you won't need to worry."

"I love you Adam."

"Love you too. Try and get some rest. I'll see you later."

"Alright."

He hung up the phone and flopped back onto the bed. It took him awhile to fall back to sleep. Worried about Cassie and hoping she was sleeping but he'd see her later.
