On Sunday, December 16th at 1:12 PM, I made a journal entry on my deviantart journal that just said:
"Dear India,
Congratulations! On behalf of the students, the faculty, and the staff it is my pleasure to offer you a place in the class of 2012 at Bennington College.
Best. Christmas. Present. Ever.
Words do not describe.
This calls for celebration."
Oh man, did I realize at all what I was getting myself into? A giant society of artists and writers and overly emotional poets all thrown into the woods of Vermont and stuck on a campus of small proportions, everyone divided into cult like houses where personalities are abundant and faces always recognizable. The 24 hourness of VAPA, the constant scrutiny of everyone around you, the dining hall of drama, and the coffee hours of never ending "house issues". The classes and professors who push you harder than you want and all the assignments of seemingly impossible means.
Lastly, lets not forget the people you will meet, the friends you will make, and the loves you will fall for. Fast.
And yet despite it all, I remain happier here than any where I have been in my life.
Some times, I AM SO SAD.
But I belong here, in a way.
God damn it!
OTHER NEWS?
I went to Boston for the weekend to see Animal Collective and then stayed on for a day. It was wonderful and I just got to hang out with my two guy friends and it was great. Felt good to get off campus and Animal Collective were amazing, of course.
