((Forward dated to tomorrow because I'm slow at commenting. This is an open log that anyone can participate in! Set in the cafeteria at lunch on the first day of the high school au virus

Azula was on her way to her usual table (the back corner of the room; she always either sat alone or with Ty Lee) when she spotted the two boys. Everyone knew who they were, even if they hadn't before-- it wasn't every day that DDD High School had deadly bus accidents.
She regarded them coolly as she walked by-- and then decided to stop. "Will the scars last?"
She rolled her eyes right back. "Hilarious. Really." They probably thought that they were intimidating her or something. She'd have to clear that up. Breaking her usual routine, Azula pulled up a chair and set her tray down on the table right next to theirs.
"Excuse me, I'll get my own dates, thank you," Chika growled at Shito, kicking at the other boy's ankle. Not too hard, but certainly hard enough to be felt if it connecting. He wasn't really angry, this sort of teasing had become familiar and even welcome, but he certainly wasn't about to let on.
The smirk widened and Shito chuckled softly, returning the kick to Chika's ankle. "As if you'd actually have the balls to get your own dates," he returned.
He glanced at Azula, looking her up and down assessingly. "Deigning to sit with us? Why?"
"Yeah, slumming it doesn't seem your style," Chika agreed. He was picking at his food as well, but it was out of awkwardness rather than daintiness. He certainly wasn't nearly as neat about eating as she and Shito were. "Not that I'm complaining, mind you. At least you're not one of the brainless airheads."
"Of course not." Though she knew very well that Ty Lee-- one of the only people that she did "slum it" with-- could easily be considered one of the "brainless airheads". "And I'm certainly allowed to change up my routine, aren't I?"
((I'm taking liberties, playing on the v-day virus last year *snrks* I hope it's okay - if you want me to change it, let me know!))
"Yeah, I don't think you've ever said two words to either of us," Chika added. In point of fact he had asked Azula out, months ago. That was the one word she'd ever said to him - 'No', with a look on her face like a bug had just crawled up and spoken to her.
Azula leaned back in her chair, her eyes on Chika-- it was clear that she was thinking about the same incident that he was. "I don't normally talk to people."
Shito spread his hands, smirking faintly as he watched the two exchange glances. He had heard about the valentine's day incident from Chika while they were in the hospital.
Chika could see the smirk, and decided to ignore it. Except for kicking Shito again, of course, but that was such second nature now that it hardly even counted. "But you're talking now," he pointed out with exaggerated sweetness.
She regarded them coolly as she walked by-- and then decided to stop. "Will the scars last?"

She was still hot, though.
