Sitting in the computer lab at work... I keep telling myself I am not going to spend a lit of time in here tonight so I can get home and rest my tired feet and play some sudoku on Brain age on my new kick ass nintendo ds lite (the last one they had at besy buy, mind you... so happy!). I also got animal crossings, wild world, and new super mario brothers! I"m gonna love that game too, but as of right now I"m in the middle of a puzzle that I thought I had solved but apparently is incorrect. (irk).

Went to steak and shake with the ups posse yesterday after work (people consisting of myself, Jess, Todd, Jen, Crystal and Cris). Following our nearly 3-hour ling stay there, we hopped over to Target, where we oogled over the video games and I hid the new Ann Coulter book from Todd. (gir). Jess procured a few items there, then as it was time for Best Buy to open, we scuddled back there and partook in some nintendo-ey goodness. Todd bought more dvds, I've given up trying to stop him and merely attempt him to reduce his selections to what he deems absloutely neccesary for his survival at that moment. I succeeded in releasing one movie from his grasp, although he still managed to spend 60-something bucks. I however, Trumped everyone by shelling out 250-something for the DS, 3 games, Screen protectors, and a $20 2 year replacement warranty for the damn thing. I also got 5 bucks off and got a $20 gift card with some coupons I have thru the reward zone program. I should have combined mine and Todd's orders into one super-large mega order and gotten a $30 gift card though, but that was an afterthought. Todd and I should not shop together, we soend too much money... but it's so much fun!

After spending our paychecks, and then some, I went home to Hank's house and enjoyed in the stabbing and ripping of the plastic packaging surrounding my new hand-held gaming system and sunk my thumbs into what is, MY DS! (moment of clarity: is it just me, or is this sounding more like a short story than the jourlan-style events of the folowing day? May just be me... I'll re-read it later when I can extend this momennt of clarity longer... slipping away... returning to...) Finding and flicking the power switch, the screen glows bright white, THE BATTERY IS CHARGED! Quickly she grasps for the yellow shopping bag adn pulls out 'NEW! Super Mario Bros!', unwrapping and opening the packaging to reveal a tiny game card. Inserting the game, she thinks to herself, "Man, this thing's tiny! strange how so much can fit in one tiny inch-by-inch square of computer memory."

The game begins to play, and colros begin to flash... the DS is ALIVE! It's about this time the Sleeping Hankopottamous gently awakes from his slumber, stimulated by the video game sound bytes and flashes from the screen, and of course, Billie's small sounds of laughter and enjoyment.

"guess what I got?"
"Your thingie from Best Buy?"- one eye is partially open, hair askew and head barely raised from the pillow... more of a gesture than actually tryign to sit up.
"YES! And lookie at all that it does.. all its glory and splendor! It's Lighter and Liter! (weight adn luminance) than the original DS, and comes with a little stick you can poke things with on the screen! "
(more awake now, hypnotized into waking up by the lights and sounds of something new to play) "ooOoooh... can I see it?"

Billie tilts the screen facing Hank, letting him see, but continuing on playing her game. Hank paws and reaches for it, but Billie is determined to get past the first few stages before crashing out, leaving her beloved new electronic pet in the Hands of Hank, all powerful game-player extraordinare.

so she goes to sleep, hank plays, billie wakes up because a pitbull steps on her head, and plays her DS more. Now she's goign home so she can play with it even more, and solve stupid puzzles and try to make her brain lose about 30 years (Brain age game, calculates your 'brain age" lowest being the best, ideal is 20.) My first brain age was 64 or so, the second was 42. So... I guess give or take 20 minutes, my brain can loose 20 yaers of idleness... lol.

I"ve spent about half an hour in here... and I need to be getting home. thus, I will do just that. Adios!

Kenna, I'll give you a call tomorrow to se eif we can set something up. I miss you!
