So today I saw Fahrenheit 9/11. It was kind of long and repetitive after a while but it was pretty good. Granted it was extremely biased, but I still think George Bush is a complete selfish moron. It was a pretty depressing movie to watch knowing that this wasn't just a movie. Everything you see on the big screen is set up and use special effects to show it's false intensity. But this movie happend..this really happend. It's still happening infact. You can't look up at the screen and say it's just a movie, because it isn't. This is real life. The scenes in Iraq were the worst though. They showed some bodies from after the bombing and people carrying their dead friends or loved ones crying hysterically over what we've done. There was one scene where there were Iraqi people hovering over a child no more than three or four years old with a gash in his leg that went to the bone. You could see the depth of this child's leg and see his bone it was so bad. And for what? Oil and money? It's fucking pathetic. I hate war so much. There was this other sequence he did where this woman Lila lost her son in the war. He was in a Black Hawk and it exploded or something like that. Anyways, you could see the misery and pain in her eyes. You knew this wasn't staged. Obviously I don't have any children but I could only imagine what it's like to lose what you've created. A mother's whole world is her children. To lose your whole world especially to a war, to fighting, to Bush's greedy hands. That's what really gets to me. I don't care as much that he lied to the entire country, it's the fact that he was willing to let people die for what he wanted. Not for our safety nonetheless. I hate politics.
