(no subject)
So I've officially been accepted to the Orléans program.
My emotions are really mixed right now. I'm excited, nervous, scared shitless, and even a little sad. It's hitting me now how badly I'm going to miss everyone. The fact that I have the letter in my hand that says, "Congratulations, you're living here for six months" makes it real and not just an "I'm leaving for France in January" feeling anymore.
It will be good for me, though. My French will improve tremendously and... "absence makes the heart grow fonder." Not to mention, I'll still be able to stay in constant touch with everyone. (I'm writing letters, be ready.) And six months isn't long at all in the grand scheme of things. I know I'll be coming home, and everyone and everything will be exactly the same as it was when I left.
Well, 'cept for Chris. He'll be huge. -er. :-)
