PALAINDROME DATE - The date is the same backwards. (but in this case it's the opposite)
So I thought it was important to post about my life and what I was doing during this time. I've been in an emotion rut and I feel like my life is stagnate. But more so impartial to everyday life. So after listening to some 90s music, I remember some things I was during then. Now I have summed up last week experiences. So I know what to remember about my life when I hear M.I.A.'s Paper Planes fifteen years from now.
Last Monday: Labor day. I spent the day with Lynn and her son at Penn's landing and Jon's Grille, the one with the outdoor seating. Some dude caused a scene and I thought It was an episode of Maury. I usually drink a lot on Mondays with Lynn. Was there something going on there?
Wednesday, went to see Among Criminals, Friendly summer local band I lost touch with cause they went on tour and I move downtown. Now they're going on tour again. Did they ever blow up?
Friday I celebrated Karyn's birthday at Friday's. Mostly new people from Williams-Sonoma. After that I peaked my head in the Langhorne Pub to see if I knew anyone there. Juli! We talked and drank for awhile. Hopefully she's soon come move downtown too. Maybe I'll own a house by then. Life seemed so different one year ago
Saturday after a beat night at work. I was home with Sally (my roommate) and friends watching a long stream of 90s music video on youtube. It was very nostalgic. I didn't realize so much time has past, I still feel like a little kid. I wonder if when I older, the 90s/00s is going to be the only music I remember during my time, and will not be able to keep up with today's music.
Sunday I practiced my new jumping stilts but i couldn't jump. i walked down the street and got a lot of attention, but I just wanted to use them and didn't care. It was also better at work, but I know this is a difficult time because I'm watching my own back. I had a drink wit Kerry at my favorite South Philly bar McCusker's and had Chinese. Oh btw, Sally kicked some homeless dude in the Chinese take-out place for touching her.
Today was suppose to be the day I applied at a new bar near my apartment. But instead I had my nose cauterized. Now It shouldn't bleed like it was almost everyday two weeks ago. It was like jabbing a hot stoker up my nose, and i can't blow it.
I'm continuing to add more 90s videos to my profile on youtube. I think I'm going to be a mummy for Halloween. It would be great if I could throw a Halloween/90's party, just so I can play Backstreet Boys - Everyone. Dance parties are fun!
