(no subject)
July 3rd. We had a good visit with my parents. They got here around three pm. We cooked hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill, I made potato salad to go with it and Chris picked up some baked beans. It was delicious. Then later we went and picked up some ice cream and orange soda to makes some floats with, and they where yummy. We then settled down and watched National Treasure, it was a good movie. Then to bed, got up the next morning and my parents headed out. They wanted to get an early start because it is such a long drive.
July 4th. In downtown Baton Rouge they where going to have a mock air raid on the battle ship, so we took Brett to see that. It was neat he got a kick out of it. The guns where really loud though. That was at six and the fireworks didn't start until nine so we left to get some dinner. When we got back it was packed we couldn't get within miles of the river so we decided to go across the big bridge and watch from the other side. There was a wreck on the bridge and traffic was completely stopped which was fine because we got to watch from the bridge, which was the best seats of all. So Brett had a good forth. After that we came home and watch Boogeyman, it was so so.
Jess is suppose to be here sometime today, can't wait to catch up. Talked to her a little while ago and she may wait till tomorrow, she doesn't want to get caught in tropical depression Cindy that is heading this way. It doesn't sound like it is going to be bad, but I wouldn't want to drive in all that rain either. If she can get out in the next few hours I think she will beat it. We shall see.
