Plot Updates: June
Hi guys! It's Pied here again, here to tell you what's going down in June.
We threw a lot of information at you in May and it's time to put that knowledge into action. This month will be all about two things: collecting myrrh and locating Garland. Just so you know, we've split those two plot strands between us. Amy will be handling the myrrh collection. I will be running the mission to find Garland. So if you have questions about either, Amy's the best person to go to for anything related to myrrh and I'm available for all your Garland-hunting needs.
What's Happening in June
- Characters with Crystal Chalices are encouraged to go out and start collecting myrrh. If your cast doesn't have a Crystal Chalice yet, you should get them this month. Amy will be posting about this in the near future, so I'll say no more than that.
- Thanks to Matoya, characters are now free to go home if they choose. You will be able to drop your character by sending them through the portal opened by Matoya and allies for the entire month of June. Please let us know beforehand; you can comment here or send us a message. You can thread out a character leaving in this post.
- Regent Cid now has all four elemental crystals which are needed to find Garland. On Saturday 4th June, he will post asking for groups to take the elemental shrines and then visit the Ronka Ruins in order to locate the Chaos Shrine where Garland is waiting. This will be an IC sign-up post for the following events:
- Saturday 11th June: Four teams will take the elemental shrines. The elemental crystals must be returned to their respective shrines. Each shrine is guarded by a monster. One team will get a nasty surprise, as Lufene will be popping up to try and nab a crystal at one of the shrines. But we're not going to tell you which one. ;)
Here's who I have signed up for the shrines thus far:
Water Shrine
Porom, Rydia, Edge, Palom
Fire Shrine
Balthier, Setzer, Celes, Locke
Wind Shrine
Kain, Ursula, Lilisette, Refia
Earth Shrine
Leonora, Yuffie, Zack, Frimelda
Nobody actually volunteered for the Fire Shrine, so I just stuck in the people who said they'd go for any. I think no more than four to a shrine is a good limit.
- Some time during the last week of June, a group will visit the Ronka Ruins, where there is a device that can be activated in order to point the way to the Chaos Shrine. Once this is done, the group will discover where the Chaos Shrine is, and they will need to report this to Regent Cid and everyone else.

Warrior of Light, Zack, Aerith, Ceodore, Ursula, Laguna, Ingus
Definitely enough space here if anyone wants their character to be a member of the party who actually discovers where the Chaos Shrine is. We probably have more than enough now unless your character would be really desperate to go! If you've signed up for a shrine, you can also volunteer for the Ronka Ruins too since they happen at different times.
- There will be no going after Garland in June! The confrontation with Garland will take place in July, and will be the subject of next month's update. In the meantime, you can use this post to plot and please feel free to ask any questions!
