Sphere Break Tournament coming up
Guys, if you haven't already, go read the Sphere Break post and sign up! The tournament kicks off on 2nd June and the final will take place on 9th June.
This is what I'm thinking right now: the tournament will take place in three, maybe four stages depending on the number of players. So sixteen will be narrowed down to eight, then four, then the final two. I will assign characters to each other - based on getting characters who haven't interacted before to play each other as far as I can. There will be an NPC post for each stage where you can play out your matches if you wish, and where other characters can cheer the players on.
As for who wins each match, if you guys can work it out amongst yourselves and let me know, that would be great. If I don't hear anything, I will decide the outcome of the matches. This will probably be based on a mixture of who I think would do well and pure whim. And yes, I know I have a character playing in the tournament, but I won't be biased towards myself. Rinoa would be terrible at Sphere Break and will likely lose the very first match.
I will put up an OOC post later with a list of matches once I know who all the players are, and you can use that as a plotting post too. In the meantime, if you have any questions/comments/suggestions, please let me know!
PS Since several of the VIII cast will be playing, Garden will be flying over to Luca around May 31st. Rinoa is happy to pick up other potential players on the journey from Alexandria.
