History Repeats Itself?
Written by Jacques Azeon
This past year certainly has been fraught with many unexplainable things within Reial and beyond-the Kropmork Assassinations, the Lunasa Bombings, the Doma Incident and now just recently, the tragic and unsuspecting loss of the Ivona President Byron Tolsade. What with all these mysterious events, one might wonder and think if Erealia, too, had been affected. With the lack of news from there, one might believe that all is still well in our neighboring island-unfortunately however, even that thought would be a one that should be put up for questioning.
While nothing absolute has been confirmed, sources from some parts of Erealia seem to indicate and suggest that only heir to one of the upper nobles of the island-the house of fon Fabre-has been missing since July last year. People might recall the incident of about eight years ago where Luke fon Fabre-the same noble in question-had been kidnapped once for reason or reasons unknown and caused a huge buzz just about everywhere as search parties were sent all over the continent in a bid to find the then ten-year-old child. He was found eventually, and has since then been locked up in his own manor, according to reliable sources.
The possible disappearance of Luke fon Fabre brings up a question to all of us: is this yet another work of the people who caused the other events within the past year? If so, why do it, and why target someone who had been captured before? Is there something about the noble that the general populace remains unaware of? And if not, then what really happened? Did he get taken away again by the same people who did eight years ago? Or did the young man himself get fed up with his imprisoned life within the manor and flee?
Perhaps only the noble himself knows the answer-or perhaps, the answer may never be known to us all.
