I think this is the longest I've gone without posting. Whoops. I see from my friends list as well that I'm not the only one on a brief hiatus. Now that Z and Mo are in Morocco I have some more flexibility...at least in updating my neglected blog on an early Sunday morning.
I was looking at my reading log and since January and I've read about 230 books since January. (The real reason I've neglected my blog and nearly everything else.) I had hopes of updating my reading log with more detailed info but alas that has not been the case. I've been copying and pasting the Goodreads link to each book which is not very helpful.
Z graduate from elementary school. I was feeling a little melancholy. Not only because this is indeed "the longest shortest time" but also because we've been involved in the school community for eight years. Z's life from age 3 onward. One of the wonderful surprises about graduation was that some of Z's former teachers attended. Since the school principal was also leaving - she started the same year as Z - the graduation ceremony was also a tribute to her. Z was one of the student speakers. No matter how I feel about the Mormon church, the kids are trained from young age in public speaking. Z was poised and confident!
