It is tradition to go the Indiana State Fair every summer in my family. My mom, father, brother, husband, and I went to the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis yesturday. It was great day of lots of fun. We all enjoyed eating all kinds of great food, seeing different kinds of animals, and seeing art. Far as art wise, we saw wood carvings, paintings, and hand-made quilts. My favorite wood carving was of a wooden chest that you put by your bed to hold blankets/quilts. There was wood carving of a real canoe that supposedly you can actually use in the river too. My favorite painting was the portrait of a grandmother and her grandchild facing each other and framed in a dark wood. The portrait was painted to look like a antique piece of art. It was so well done. My favorite hand-made quilt had a bunch of little kittens and puppy dogs on it and was very colorful. My brother and father got to check out all the cars. My husband got to pet his goats. Lol. But my favorite part of the Indiana State Fair was when all five of us were sitting at the end of the day, talking, joking around, and laughing heartily.
