I am getting very nervous about my airplane flight next week. I do not really like to fly because of the landing part. Scary. What cannot a passenger take in their luggage? What cannot a passenger take in their carry-on's?

As for what's allowed in luggage and your carry-on - The TSA (Transportation Security Administration) has a VERY comprehensive list of what is and is not allowed in both checked baggage and your carry-on. Their web site is http://www.tsa.gov - to get to the list click on "Our Travelers" at the top (in blue) the "Air Travel" on the left which will open up a sub-categories one of which is "Prohibited Items" (7th down)... when you click on that it will look like nothing happened (bad web page design!), but it did, just scroll down past the sub-categories and there you have it! It starts with all then nonsense about the liquids and gels - which is actually somewhat important to read... but keep in mind they're talking about your carry-on not your checked baggage. I got confused when I first read it. After that schpeal they have a LONG list broken into different categories so you can skip the parts about guns/firearms and martial arts/self defense items ;) unless there's something you wanted to tell us *giggles*
I hope this helps!
