This is it. 4 more days. Left of work. Left of home. Left of my old life. This is something I've been looking forward to as long as I can remember. The idea of leaving home seemed so perfect, yet so far off. Now that it's finally here, it's like reality's smacked me in the face. Am I really ready for this?
I've been doing so much packing lately. Going through all of my stuff. Like Kit, I've really been spoiled when it comes to space. A huge closet, dresser, bathroom I shared only with my little sister, and another storage unit in my bedroom. I mean, I used a whole shelf in my storage unit just for lotions and body sprays. Another for make-up, half of which I never wear. Drawers just for hairdryers, curling irons, and straightening irons. And all of this stuff I have to consolidate onto a little shelf. I mean, it's not like I need all of it anyways. Hell, I barely use half of it. But still...it's hard to decide.
And then I want to ask myself. Why am I even worrying about stuff like this? Why does it really matter? Does it matter if I bring two different types of body lotion or just one? It really doesn't.
I just filled out my last timecard. This will probably be the last time I work here *at the lab* for the whole summer. Maybe for like a month, or over Christmas break for 2 weeks....But it's time to move on. A new job...hopefully even in a law firm for part of next summer. This is it. This is my life.
