School starts soon. I still have 2 books left of the 15 off my booklist I need to buy. Good lord. I lucked out and bought the majority from my "senior buddy" for an awesome deal. I still need to buy a stesthoscope, white shoes, and order my UT patches to put onto my scrubs and lab coat. I got my badge the other day which will let me access various buildings including the medical recreation center. Maybe living right next to it might make me go it...haha...funny.

So this whole, let's throw these kids into their clinicals their first semester freaks me out. I think we have a few weeks before it starts but still. When I was touring the school with my buddy, Holly, I saw the skills lab with the dummies we work with with interchangable body parts. Thats basicaly where we learn the whole catheter, foley bit. Then there is this dummy that is hooked up to a computer and you can make it do/react to anything you want: vomitting, shots, etc. Creepy.

I just came back from a week in Baton Rouge. Distance sucks. And I can't stand when people keep asking "So is your boyfriend moving to Texas?" Shut up. It is already hard as it is, I don't have to be reminded he's stuck there for the time being.

I need school to start soon and a busy schedule so I can stop feeling so unproductive. They haven't scheduled our labs yet. I'll be in class basically from 8-4 everyday. I'm worried about when clinicals start because although it's only 1 day a week, it's sometimes Saturday and if thats scheduled, I'll hardly ever get time to drive down to BR.
