Happy Holidays everyone...
So I ganked this idea from a poster on one of the Motley Fool discussion boards. I think it's a great idea. She wrote:
So, my goal for 2007 - sell, donate, or give something away every week in 2007. 52 different things.
I will post on ebay, craigslist, or freecycle; donate to goodwill or the salvation army, or find some other productive way to get rid of stuff that I really don't need or want.
I don't think I can do it every week but possibly once a month or so. I've been wanting to purge my house of excess belongings anyway and my new roommate who is really good at this is willing to help. Because of this posting, I started making a list of stuff I've been meaning to sell for donate for a while. Here's a small start:
+ sell DKNY perfume on Ebay
+ shred half my excess papers (I collect papers; a huge problem for me)
+ sort through clothes and sell or donate anything possible
+ sort books and finally sell/donate unused ones
+ organize film negatives
+ scan/archive negatives and start making art with them again
+ archive only necessary magazine articles (find a way to do it digitally to save space)
What about you all? What has been on your mind in 2006 that you wouldn't mind purging in 2007? Garage? Walk in Closet? Children?
