Ok, I had to write an essay for english....And I need you all to give me advice.
Prompt: Persuade someone what you think it worth dying for.
I would like you to take a moment, and think about how you would feel without the ones you love. Take a moment and imagine how empty you would feel without the people who were always there. And imagine how it would feel if you were responsible for them being gone. That, that person could still be there, if you would have fought for them, and had offered an extra hand. Could you even imagine that empty feeling you’d have? Let alone, survive it? That’s why I believe that the people you love are the one’s you should fight for, even if the cost you must pay is your life. Those who are always there for you. The people you’d be barely be able to live without, and the people you’d be proud of saving.
Now, I want you to go back to when you were a child. How your parents were always there to kiss your scratches away. Or how they always picked you up after you fell off your bicycle. They were always there for you. Would you not return that favor? Or how about your friends, whom you trust so much? The friends who cried with you when your heart was broken. Could you live without the comfort of these people?
Today, a horrible event is happening near Asia, where a large Tsunami struck, and killed thousands. Parents were forced to pick a child to save, leaving the other behind with prayers that they would make it. Thousands of people are without a family. When you see them in the pictures, they look hurt. But I’m sure they feel even worse. Do you think you could go through that pain? Your family may seem so…non-existent to you. And you may often take advantage of them. But, when this happens think about your life without them.
Then again, think about how your life would be if you actually did save that person. You would be their hero. They would be here because of you. You wouldn’t have to go through that guilt, and you wouldn’t have to live without them. Doesn’t the scenario sound better than the others?
So now, what do you think is worth risking your life for? Next time you doubt the people you love, remember the feeling that you had when you thought about life without those people. Just remember…and then you’ll know the answer soon enough: Loved ones. They are always there for you, they’ll always love you, and no matter what you’ll always care for them.
