1. I can spend the entire day with a couple of strippers and still get change back for a $20.
2. Getting a home warranty is a stupendously awesome thing. Bad news - My hot water heater sprung a leak today (yes, after owning the house less than a week, I've had a fence fall down and the hot water tank disgorge its contents on the basement floor). Good news - it'll only cost me a $50 deductible to fix.
3. Sometimes, even ugly-ass wallpaper is prettier than the ugly-ass walls behind it.
4. If you have an option NOT to be in your house when contractors are working on it, take it.
