UNFIT PARENTS! SPECIAL EDITION!
This couple was so special they deserve their own post. I was working White Water as operator when a couple comes up holding their child. Jen was just signing in so I asked if she could quickly height check the girl so I did not have to stop the ride and do it myself. She said sure and it turns out the girl was too small. The parents started to freak on us as usual. I tried to calm them by saying they could do a parent swap, but that was not good enough for them. They apparently waited for an hour in line, even though I just opened and could see the end of the line, a 15-minute wait at the worst. Keep in mind the entire time this all happens the mother just stood there saying, “I’m going to scream,” repeatedly. What a cunt, it is not the end of the world. Oh, and their child of course went on the ride last week. So the father the entire time looked like her was ready to hit me or Jen which pissed me off. So he says, “So there is a chance she could fall out?”
Me, “Yes, that is why we have the height restrictions. For your child’s safety.”
Him, “Perhaps, if the parent is as clumsy as you.”
Me, “For that comment, get off my ride and go before I call security.”
He mumbled something about fools and fucking Canadians. Eventually they leave just about the time security was going to be dispatched so we got lucky and avoided that mess.
What was the best part about that? Both the rides we work have the same height restrictions. Jen was working Timberwolf Falls, and guess who comes up the queue? Yep, they saw her made some comments and left. So sweet.
