Okay, so now that I've had a day or two to get over it, I am past the Oscars bullshit, and will move on to the fun part, which a total of one person (Sara) will enjoy. But it amuses me, so here it is.

Best Dressed:

Michelle Williams.
I thought she looked stunning. Beautiful thirties inspired dress, loved loved loved the beautiful gathering in the front, loved the vintage diamonds. And I loved the bright marigold color. Thank god for someone who is willing to wear something other than basic black. *cough, Jennifer Aniston, cough*

Meryl Streep
I LOVE her. Love her. She is a fantastic actress. But she usually looks rather dowdy on the red carpet, so I was stunned (in a good way) to see her in this beautiful form fitting violet dress, since she usually goes for the ball gown type thing. And I loved the earrings. But mostly, I love her because she is 57, and she was stunning. She is aging beautifully, but she is aging naturally. She has wrinkles, and they are beautiful.

Kiera Knightley
Loved the color, loved the fit. Dramatic, youthful, a little funky. And the 60s Bulgari necklace? Fresh, funky, fabulous. Flawless.

Salma Hakey
This dress hugged every inch of those luscious Latin curves like there was no tomorrow. Stunning, thank god for a woman in Hollywood with an actual figure. And the Veronica Lake hairdo? Loved it. She is stunning and she knows it.

Honorable Mentions:

Felicity Huffman, for the fashion forward Zac Posen.

Amy Adams. Really liked the unusual color choice, didn't necessarily dig the bulky skirt. But she's so darn cute and happy and those aquamarine drops...to die for.

Jessica Alba. Don't really know why the star of Honey was at the oscars, but the dress was stunning. Too bad I hated her lunch-lady updo.

Nicole Kidman. The dress was beautiful, if a little less than her usual stunning productions. But bring back the red hair! She is so washed out as a blonde, it is killing me.

And...Worst Dressed! I will probably catch flack for these, lol.

Jennifer Lopez What is that extra skirt? It adds way too much too her hips, and it's an awkward length.
Reese Witherspoon I know, I know. She won the Oscar, she's adorable, it's vintage (1955), etc etc. But still..booooring. It makes her look matronly and a little wider than she really is. It's so heavy looking. Just...boo. She is capable of so much better. The vintage Valentino a few years ago? That's more like it. And last but not least:

Charlize Theron This breaks my heart. I love Charlize, I think she's a fabulous dresser. The rootsy Brigitte Bardot bedhead beehive doesn't do her any favors, but this dress is horrid. The bow is eating her face. Maybe without the giant-bow-as-a-pirate's-parrot thing it would have stood a chance, but it is so stiff looking. Dior haute coutoure it may be, but there's couture and then there's couture. For future reference, this is the way to wear couture on the red carpet.
. A dress so stunning it took 400 hours to make and it appears to be defying gravity by even staying on her body. And you can even see her face. And that's all I've got folks. Sorry the end is so fucked up, my html went crazy and I couldn't figure out what was going on. That was fun, I'll probably do it again next year.
