Don't let one meeting discourage you. This is an opportunity to strengthen those traits that you don't see in yourself. If you're not good at thinking of things on the fly, come with an arsenal of lists in your back pocket! Your confidence will boost as you make headway with this group. The pompous asshole might have overcome another pompous asshole, hence his (inappropriate) actions/attitude.

Leaders aren't always "natural" and leadership is a trait that has to be developed... that's why there are people making millions to stand in front of potential/new/old people in leadership positions making a fool of themselves spouting cliches via motivational speeches.

If you don't step out of your comfort zone now... then, when? I can tell that you want to work this opportunity, so work it! You have to believe in Tica, or at least fake it until you really do, if you want anyone else to be confident in your words. Don't let them see you sweat- unless its at an outdoor event ;)

It's ok to not have the gift of gab that allows you to spout random bullshit out of your ass, it just means that you have to be prepared in advance.

You CAN'T give up!! There will be more situations where you're blindsided, out of loop, or just having an off day with no clue what's going on... PLAY IT OFF! FAKE IT 'TIL YOU MAKE IT!!!

You can do it. Don't let some miserable person control your future.
