I am so in love with Barack Obama. He is so not bullshittin on this stimulus package. That post on blackfolk was spot on: he really could have added a "mofo" at the end of every sentence and that speech would have been a riot! Although I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me why in the hell Congress isn't focused on this being an emergency. The zoo in Cincy needing money for flamingos is NOT an emergency, yall. Coaxing private industry to stop hemorrhaging jobs and getting the banks to stop stowing their bailout money under the mattress are just two really pertinent examples of what's really important here. How else are we really going to stop the bleeding and restore consumer confidence? This isn't some damn episode of Gray's Anatomy where people's lives are stake but we've got time to stop and chat about some small dumb microdrama that isn't really going to matter two seasons from now. *smh*

This morning, my facebook status read "is ready for adventures, new experiences, moving forward...and bacon cookies." And now everyone thinks I woke up high as a kite this AM. LOL! I'm just really REALLY excited about the next week and a half. Just living my life and doing some things that I've been waiting for so long to do. It's no secret: my life (and general demeanor) is SO much better when I've got things I'm really looking forward to.
