Up and At 'Em
I don't know why it is when I get up an extra half an hour early or so, it feels like it's still the previous day. "It's so eeeeaaaarlyyyyyy!" Is it bad that part of the whole reason I'm up so early is so I have time to blog? LOL!!
Went to see the ophthalmologist yesterday, which was a little nerve-wracking at first. But it made me realize the importance of going to see a REAL friggin eye doctor. Dr. Kahn= real doc. Dr. Shafa= not real doc. Dr. Bhadra= semi-real doc. Dr. Wener= the truth! This place I went yesterday is expensive as hell though. If my insurance didn't take them for a routine exam, it would be $140! The place I went yesterday was such a mixed bag for me though. The waiting area when I first arrived reminded me of being in a hospital emergency room a little bit. Not because it was that bad, but because it was that packed. I don't like places where I feel like they churn through patients, if that makes any sense. But to be fair, it is a large practice. They also had multiple flat-screens playing these videos about eye health and the make-up of the eye. A little fancy for people who just want to be able to see straight. *shrug* Anyway, after they'd both put those intense drops in my eyes and then dialated them (which made my eyes hurt like a mofo for a while) Dr. Wener had really encouraging news about the health of my eyes. A part of my problem that made me angry: when Dr. Shafa prescribed my lenses a little over a month ago, he didn't account for my astigmatism. Wtf?!? No wonder I couldn't see! So now I have to get new lenses...again. This is both good and bad. Good because these lenses I have are already scratched the hell up. Bad because i JUST got these damn lenses a little over a month ago. I'm going to call my vision insurance and see if they can help me out with this since Shafa jacked up my prescription. I have yet another eye drop prescription (4x a day. Yikes!) and another appointment for my eyes on Monday.
So...post-work today is my lil party and I'm excited. My groupie-outfit hasn't quite come together the way I hoped it would though, so I guess I'll have to hope for the best when I run out for lunch today. I'm just missing one accessory....
Dunno whatelse i'll be up to this weekend. I need to call my girl Bret over the weekend at some point to see how she's doing. And I really want to go out tomorrow night and do something but I haven't made any plans. Most of my girlfriends are such planners they're probably already booked; I'll have to see about that. I wouldn't mind hanging out with Marley tomorrow evening. I guess we'll see how that shakes out. Gosh, I really need to remember to blog about my current man issues; I keep forgetting.
Anyway, I'd better finish cleaning up in here.
