An update!
Wow, it's been a while since I've actually done a real update as opposed to random posting.
The biggest news: I have firm plans for next year. I'll be doing my MLS, hopefully with a specialization in music librarianship, at Indiana University, Bloomington!!! It was amazingly easy because I didn't have to reapply. They just extended my initial admissions offer from two years ago. Yeehaw! I should complete the program in a little over a year, three semesters at the most. Very exciting. (btw, Sherri, I will probably be grilling you sometime over the next few months about the area. Consider yourself warned :))
Well, the end of quarter craziness seems to be upon us again, and, since it's my penultimate quarter, the end of program craziness is also catching up with me. In the next week, I have two papers due (one of which I've finished), two final seminar meetings, two finals to administer, an outline of my thesis to complete, and any number of meetings. Oye. I'm totally procrastinating right now.
Next quarter will be just thesis and teaching. As many people have pointed out to me, there's not much "just" about it, but it sounds a lot better to me than thesis, teaching, and two classes. Actually, I'm excited about being able to focus on writing.
That's my life in a nutshell. A lot more going on, of course, but that's most of the big things. I may be MIA a lot more in the next few months while typing away at the thesis, but I'll keep y'all posted about the big events!
