Maybe the NRA are on to something?... No
So the NRA promotes arming everyday Americans with guns in order to protect themselves. I just read a news article where a civilian, with a consealed firearm, confronted 2 people who had earlier shot and killed 2 police officers. The civilian was fatally shot by them. That's not a good case study for the NRA...
