Facebook bought Oculus VR for $2 billion dollars on March 25th 2014. This is amazing news. It is the beginning of complete social game immersion. We are one step closer to experiencing a .hack or Sword Art Online world. Everything is going to be tied together that people will start dying in real life when their game avatar dies. Not from starvation or shame, but from the headset frying people’s brains when they die in the game. The other way this can turn out is that you’ll be able to see your parents in your virtual world. You think getting Facebook posts from your parents is weird? Wait till you have to party up with your parents to do a raid… On second thought, this is a bad idea. -_-;
Hopefully Facebook doesn’t ruin the Oculus Rift and VR tech takes off so we can all look forward to a future where we're all jacked into a direct neural interface and encountering a Blue Screen of Death can be a cause of death. =)
