Deemo Review

Jan 10, 2014 00:12

Deemo follows your average rhythm game footsteps like Guitar Hero and Rockband, but with a piano and not the six stringed instrument everyone is tired of. Notes come down the screen to a bar where the player will need to touch the notes which is timed to the beat. Deemo features a story where a stick man plays a piano to help a girl who fell from a window. It's strange but it works. With its asian art style and incredible piano pieces, you have to hate the piano to not play this game.

The first song you'll encounter is "Dream". It's a great song with a lovely flow to it. So much so, I fell in love with Deemo's music after playing it. Other memorable songs are Mirror Night, Wings of Piano, and Reverse. The game has 23 tracks after you purchase the full version ($2 USD). There are also 10 additions songs you can obtain by IAPs ($4 USD dollars for each pack of 5 songs). A sore point to the game is that some of the notes don't match the music as it was out of sync.

Verdict: Buy it
I have 6 songs with a combo completion and purchased the full version at the time of this review.
