Goddammit...
I just had what has to be one of the worst days of my life... and I think it was because I got a damn haircut.
Actually, that's where it started. The damn lady cutting my hair took a phone call no less than two times during the haircut. One I let go because it was work related, the second LONGER phone call was personal and dragged my haircut out into nearly 25 minutes. And when it was done I was supposed to be in @ 2 and it was 1:47. Well, I rush out, grab some food and eat it so fast I upset my stomach and manage to punch in at EXACTLY 2... only to have Linda ask why I punched in since I wasn't due in until 3....
Then, for the next 8 and a half hours of my original 7 hour shift everything I touched, looked at, or tried to accomplish blew up in my goddamn face. I actually wanted to break down into tears and walk out at one point I was so frustrated and upset... right around the time that I accidentally bumped into the wall and had stacks of JUST cleaned dishes plummet all around me onto the dirty floor and my head... which I got to re-clean.
And WHY do people insist on challenging my patience and picking physical engagements with me when I'm in the mood to just stab them in the fucking throat?
I spent 2 and a half hours frying today...
I did a shift change... but for some reason the computer didn't register it so it was in the AM manager's name all damn day
They put me in charge of a full service store for the FIRST TIME EVER with absolutely no guidance what so ever... and there was a Restaurant General Manager and an Assistant Restaurant General Manager there... do you understand how it feels to have everyone asking you questions that you honestly don't know the answer too because you are new at a lot of this stuff? My image was so undermined today I don't know if it will recover.
I didn't close out the shift on a drawer because some woman dropped her money and I had to go chase it in the wind with 2 other people....
I kept forgetting to make sure that people were backing up their damn food so we almost ran out several times.
Then I got to stay a half hour over my already long shift cause no one ever let me pull my front register.
And that doesn't even begin to describe my day...
I wish I had something to drink dammit...
Hopefully it'll be better closing tomorrow...
