So today I thought would be my hardest day of exams, just because I had two: English and Algebra. I heard horrible stories about English, but I think I did all right, as I do with math, which is not one of my better subjects. Now all I have left is spanish, which I have a 95 in. Spanish is naturally easy to me and it should be very easy. So at 9:30 CT (10:30 ET), I will be on summer vacation. And as the song says, What U Gon Do? Shit. (If you don't know the song, you wouldn't get that)
So I just saw Star Wars 3. Honestly I've never really watched episodes 4,5,6. And if I have, I was probably really little. I mean I know the plot and I remember bits and pieces but the only movies that I remember seeing full length were the first 3. I'm afraid to go and watch the next 3 episodes because I know they're much better, but I know the graphics aren't going to be nearly as good. I feel like I'm in a lose-lose situation.
Episode 3 was the best of the first three by far. But a few things pissed me off:
-The droids are worthless. The jedis mow down the droids like they're fighting against mannequins. And it kind of pisses me off that the droids have human emotions. Like they go "Oh no" when the jedi are about to kill them, and others run away screaming. You're a goddamn robot engineered to kill. Shut up and do your job.
-I'm not going to complain about the acting, good acting can not be expected from Star Wars. What I'm complaining about is the cheesiness. The one exchange in the beginning between Anakin and Padme when he's like "I love you more" or something like that: a friend of mine already told me about that scene. It angered me when she told me, and it angered me even more to actually see it. They would have been better off not even trying.
There was one thing that made me incredibly happy:
-Jar Jar Binks hardly had a part. Lucas must have realized what a shitty character he created so he smartly didn't use him. His only appearance was with other members of his species, whatever they're called, looking sad for two seconds and Padme's funeral. He didn't even speak! It was glorious! When I look back on it, Jar Jar Binks cheapened the entire first two episodes with his pitiful attempt at comic relief. It wasn't funny, it was annoying and I think the movies would be much better if they didn't try to make them funny with Binks. He pissed me off with his "Me sah Jar Jar Binks." Not anymore bitch, you're done.
