I've worked out my pattern of alertness and tiredness. I'm okay in the morning when I wake just before 7 am, but once I get to work at about 8:30 am then whoa, I'm tired. I have microsleeps and my eyes involuntarily close. I have to fight myself to stay awake. This continues until after lunch and by about 2 pm I'm totally fine and full of energy, all ready to bounce around. Come about 5:40 pm then, and I'm tired again and am falling asleep on the train (sometimes). Today I rested my head when I got home this evening and found myself waking up 2 and a half hours later. This is annoying. It's not narcolepsy, it's just a really bad sleep pattern that I've had for years.
