My thoughts on BISS...

I guess this is slightly spoilerly...so
First off, this movie was marketed wrong. Basically every scene that involves Stephen Collins was already in the trailer. I was thinking it was going to be a lot more about Diane Keaton and Stephen Collins' relationship.

It wasn't a bad movie, lots of charming characters and cute moments. The worst thing about this movie was Diane Keaton. I think a really great movie could have been made if you took the same characters and cast and made a movie about the three daughters and the trials and tribulations of their relationships. Instead it looked like the epitome of romantic love is to be married. Well, it ain't that simple. They could have showed Lauren Graham or Piper Perabo having trouble with their marriages. As it was, the characters were completely unnecessary to the plot (especially Piper). I think Piper, Lauren, and Mandy are all fantastic and I would have loved to see them in a much stronger movie.

So basically, make the overbearing mom a minor character and focus on three women in their twenties and thirties in various stages of relationships.

A couple of positive notes, Lauren Graham was fantastic and the guy who played Mandy Moore's love interest that wasn't Tom Everett Scott was delicious. Mmmm.
