I took a shower and I combed my hair. There was a fleeting moment when I sniffed the bar of soap thinking that maybe the Zest! commercials held some nugget of truth, and that my eyes would go wide, my posture would straiten, and I would be revived into the world.
I'm going to leave my house this evening. I'm going to pretend that I'm a normal man. I'm going to smile and laugh and make my face into all the expected shapes.
